Cookie Policy of Rossol
This policy describes which cookies the Rossol website uses, for what purpose and how you can manage them.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. It allows information about your visit to be remembered, such as the language or the state of a form, and can also be used to measure audience or display advertising.
This policy explains exactly which cookies the Rossol website uses and for what purpose.
2. Which cookies this site uses
This website uses a single technical cookie, strictly necessary for it to work. We use no analytics, advertising, personalisation or third-party cookies.
The cookie is only set when you visit the contact page, because that is where it is needed. If you only browse the rest of the site, no cookie is stored in your browser.
Cookie used:
- Name: PHPSESSID
- Owner: Rossol (first-party cookie, not third-party)
- Purpose: to maintain the technical session needed to protect the contact form against fraudulent submissions and to show the confirmation message after sending it.
- Data it contains: a random session identifier. It contains no personal data and does not identify you on its own.
- Duration: session. It is deleted automatically when you close the browser.
- Transfers: none. The cookie is not shared with third parties.
3. Why we do not ask for consent
Article 22(2) of Spanish Act 34/2002 on Information Society Services exempts from the duty to obtain prior consent those cookies strictly necessary to provide a service expressly requested by the user.
The only cookie on this site falls under that exemption: without it, the contact form could not be protected against fraudulent submissions nor confirm that your message was received. That is why no cookie banner is shown: there is no optional cookie to accept or reject.
If we were to add analytics or third-party cookies in the future, we would update this policy and request your prior consent through a mechanism allowing you to accept, reject and configure them.
4. Other tracking technologies
To understand how the site is used we use a self-hosted, first-party web analytics tool (Umami) that records visits in an aggregated and anonymous way, without cookies, without identifying individual users and without sharing the data with third parties. As it uses no cookies or identification technologies, it is exempt from consent.
Beyond this cookie-free analytics, this site does not use other tracking techniques that identify you or build profiles:
- We do not use advertising pixels or third-party web beacons.
- We load no fonts, scripts or resources hosted on third-party servers.
- We embed no social media buttons or widgets.
- We do not use browser local storage to identify you.
- We do not build device fingerprints.
5. How to manage cookies
You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies at any time. Every browser allows this from its privacy or site settings section.
Please note that if you block the technical cookie described in this policy, the contact form may stop working properly. The rest of the site will remain fully accessible, and you can always write to us directly at contacto@rossol.me.
6. Server logs
Independently of cookies, the server hosting this site generates technical logs of the requests received, and the IP address is used temporarily, as a derived value, to rate-limit contact form submissions and prevent abuse.
This processing is not carried out through cookies and is described in detail in our Privacy Policy.
